God is perfecting things concerning you | © Fola Daniel Adelesi

On the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. Gen. 2:2 (WEB)

It is a great pleasure to welcome you all to the seventh month in the year which is also our month of perfection. As seen in our text which will carry us through the theme for the month, God is going to perfect things concerning you this month.

By now you already know that seven stands for perfection. There are so many instances in the Bible where seven was significant in what God wanted to do or instructed people to do. He started the process of creating the earth and finished it on the seventh day then He rested.

The first thing this tells me is that there is nothing God starts that he will not finish. He also does not start what He cannot finish. Dear friend, be assured that God who has started something great in you will perfect it in this month of perfection. Things may have started picking up for you and it looks like they may be dropping again. That has come to an end. All the good things that have started will be perfected this month.

In Philippians 1:6 we have an assurance that He who has begun a good work in us will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ. God does not just keep people alive if he has no reason for them to live anymore. You are not alive so you can just see others succeed or excel and give testimonies. There are serious plans for your own life from God as well and in this month they will be perfected.

While we were discussing great expectations, we made references to the fact that the Angel visited Mary in the sixth month to give her good news. Although it is not clearly stated in the Bible when the news began to manifest but I am tempted to think that it started in the seventh month.

You may have gotten so many good promises and prophecies. Yet nothing has happened. It is my prayer for you that as we journey through this month of perfection, everything concerning you will be perfected. Everything concerning your health will be perfected. Everything concerning your restoration of losses will be perfected. Remember that God made promises to Abraham and Sarah as well. Concerning Sarah, the scripture records that God returned unto her according to the time of life. Abraham who was told he would become a father of many nations did not only stop at getting Isaac, the promised child, he got other children after Sarah passed in his old age.

That a promise was made a long time ago does not mean it will not come to pass. With men it may be so but with God he has a finishing time. It is the perfect timing when he finishes what he has started in you. That time is now.

Genesis chapter 2 verse 2 firsts tells us that God finished his work and then rest came. When God perfects all that concerns you then you will be able to stop struggling. Rest will also come for you. Those things you have been working on from the beginning of the year without results will now begin to show results. They will not only show results, the results will amaze you.

In this month, you need to trust God to perfect his work in your life and over all your endeavours. Trust Him completely and see Him come through for you.
