When God gets involved | © Fola Daniel Adelesi

And Simon (Peter) answered, Master, we toiled all night [exhaustingly] and caught nothing [in our nets]. But on the ground of your word, I will lower the nets [again]  Luke 5:5 (Amplified version)

When a man has been labouring all his life and nothing happens positively, all the man needs to do is to get God involved so that favour can come into that endeavour. If you want to do things on your own you may never get the results that you want. When you get God involved, you will not only get what you want, you will get more than you bargained for.

If God gets involved then favour is guaranteed! Take a look at our text for today in the book of Luke where Peter said he had laboured just before Jesus came. He told us his experience just before Jesus became involved.

His experience was toiling. He knew what to do as an experienced fisher man. He knew when to let the fishes down and how to throw the right baits just to get them. Nevertheless, his skills failed him. He worked so hard but could not boast of anything. I cant imagine how he must have felt after an allnight toiling and not a single fish was caught. It could have been different if he caught some and said that was not enough. He caught nothing.

Maybe you have also been working very hard. Everyone knows that you are not lazy. You are always punctual at work. You never default with deadlines. Your business has never been taken for granted and you have integrity but with all of that, nothing is working for you. When they look the best three people in your field they will probably mention your name yet you do not have results commensurate to your reputation.

See what happened to Peter in the next verse after Jesus got involved in his matter. Verse 6 says And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish; and their nets were [at point of] breaking, 7. They signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and take hold with them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

Can you see the difference? Before Jesus came there was nothing to show for all the hard work. When Jesus came Peter hard more than enough! He could not even catch all that was available and he beckoned on other people to come and benefit from his favour.

If you are reading this I believe that Jesus will get involved in your case right now. When He does, you will experience the kind of favour that you dont need to shout about. Everybody will see it and even testify on your behalf. Your labour will become fruitful and you will be able to rest.

You may have been experiencing occasional abundance before now. You have some today and tomorrow you dont have anything. For a while you are broke and for a moment you have some change to throw around. For some time you have work to do and for a month or more you may not get jobs. Very soon, the experience of Peter will be yours. From no job or few jobs, you will be so favoured that you will be transferring jobs to others. From no money you will graduate to giving others money. From regular troubles you will graduate to helping others to find rest.

If this will happen, be so sure that you have also released yourself to Jesus and will not in anyway stop him from getting involved. If you dont stop him from getting involved, you will experience favour like never before.
