Dare to dream again! │© Fola Daniel Adelesi

I have had series of dreams in life and I should say that some of them never materialized but some still have the chance to materialize. Some of those dreams that never materialized were painful and I really felt discouraged about them but I can also say that the reason I am still standing today is because I didn’t get stuck with those failed dreams and I dared to dream again! It is very important for you to always dare to dream again even if one dream has already failed. When you have the courage to dream again then it means you have learnt how not to see yourself as a failure but someone who is only learning vital lessons in life. Dissociate yourself from the failed dream and look at the process leading to the failure in order to learn what not to do again or what to do differently!

There are people who will not be able to make some significant progress with their first projects in life but as soon as they start out on the second one they begin to take charge and you will think they have been on it for years. Life will come with its challenges and you may be so shocked at some of the things you will see while trying to achieve what you set out to achieve. You may have some seemingly good reasons to give up just while you are close to breaking through but in all of these, the courage to dream again is all you need.

Always remember that you can fall down but you must never stay down. If you keep thinking about the failures you have experienced and you allow that to keep you down, you will at some point start regretting that you did not let go off the past in order to face the future. Some of the failures we are experiencing right now are really needed in order to prepare us for the success we are anticipating but we must remember that the success will never come if we don’t get up after the failure.

I think that a lot of the things we admire and even use on daily basis today are things that were referred to as failures at some point. The reason we have them working for us today is that the people who worked on them did not give up. Let me take this dreaming beyond technological advances and talk about some other dreams in various aspects of life. What about your dream as a parent? Have your children turned out to be something different from what you ever dreamt about? You can dare to dream again about the colourful future of those children. Do you see yourself as a failed parent in life? You can still dream about becoming the dream parent of any child and, yes, you can become it if you think about it! Has anything gone wrong in your career and you are already thinking about quitting? I dare you to dream again because when you do the courage to dream again will spur new energy and you will end up getting results! Have you tried a business before and it failed? Well you can go back to that same business with another strategy! You might as well consider doing another business but you must take lessons from the failed business into the new one!

If there is anything failure should do to us, it ought to be to equip us or prepare us better for the next risk we are going to take. Failure should not discourage you from taking risk but encourage you to take your risks in more deliberate and well thought out ways!

I don’t know what you have tried before and failed at but I dare you to dream again because the very essence of life is lost when you give up on dreaming again!
